FO: Roasted Cherry Brownies for Father’s Day

Last week, I saw a beautiful bag of cherries at the grocery, and my mind immediately went to these brownies. I loved them so much when I made them last year, and I’m glad that it’s finally time to make them again!

The recipe for these Roasted Cherry Brownies came from Annie’s Eats, and I made them for the first time last year. The recipe makes me wary, because there is no baking soda or baking powder in the recipe! They are pretty dense, but not overly so.

Mostly, they are so great because they are fudgey and soft inside, with lots of cherries, plus they have a beautiful ‘crust’ to them on the top. They look so glossy and appealing, it’s hard not to eat them all right away.

I made these for Father’s Day and brought them over to my parents’ place. We also had cake that my mom bought, so it was  a dessert overload. If you’ve been following me for a while, though, you’ll know that I don’t believe in such a thing as too much dessert. I left most of the brownies with my parents, since Chris won’t eat them, and I think that they really enjoyed them.
